This is the man. This is a man who understands the cure for our nation. This is a man who sees it is not the government who holds the key to repairing the damaged hearts of our children. This is a man who has found the key and changed his own life.
Yet this is the man Republicans believe should have a stain on his reputation for life for youthful crimes. This is the man Republicans believe can only be stopped from criminal activity by years in a cage like an animal.
This… is the man Democrats believe should be silenced and told to keep his beliefs to himself. This is the man Democrats believe is the exception rather than the rule.
This is the man most Americans believe should be unable to protect his family from criminals for life because: “Once a criminal always a criminal” or “play stupid games get stupid prizes” or many of a million other meaningless, mindless and Godless phrases.
Christianity is a religion of second chances and lifechanging opportunity. If we claim to be Christians, yet stand in the way of the opportunity when this lifechanging miracle happens it doesn’t matter if we are Democrats or Republicans, we have chosen the wrong side.
It’s time we, as a nation, accept our guilt, proclaim his miracles, and get out of the way of his work.

If he was convicted he should serve his time in incarceration but part of his sentence is revocation of certain rights. Just as a pedophile has to always register as a sex offender so do other convicted felons lose certain rights. That doesn’t keep him from preaching the gospel or pursuing his dreams once he is released from prison.
To use your analogy with David, he can use a sling and 3 stones… Or the jawbone of an ass like Samson.
And regarding Moses, he never set foot in the promised land so that’s a bit of a reach to say his bones made it.
If you want to discuss reform that’s a different matter but I’m not the almighty so I’d rather not have any felon have a gun than to try and judge the heart of a man once he’s left prison. It’s really that simple.
I’m all for non violent offenders regaining their privilege once they’ve finished probation but never want a violent offender to have that privilege again. Harsher punishment and making Capital punishment standard nationwide is a good start but until then we owe the populace to err on the side of caution.
While one man may forcefully prevent another man from exercising his Rights, a human being can never “lose” his Rights and therefore never “regain” his Rights.
Now Privileges can be granted by Man and therefore taken away by Man and then perhaps “re-granted” by Man as many times as you like.
I had the privilege of standing alongside my good friend John Moore today on the steps of the Federal Court House in Las Vegas protesting the arrest of Cliven Bundy prior to his hearing. Michele Fiore was either in Portland or California today working on the same issue – it is hard to keep up with her she moves so fast and works so hard. As we were driving home from a town hall meeting in Utah last night Michele was in the back seat trying to book a flight for today.
We cou…nted about 150 people at the protest at the peak around noon. Of course, the liberal media is calling me a kook already for even mentioning God and prayer. If they don’t like how we, as Christians, trust in God and pray to him, they can take that issue up with him when they meet him face to face. Meanwhile I will wear the title of kook proudly.
I’d like to extend the request of prayer to everyone across our nation regarding these 40+ Americans who have become political prisoners for exercising their first and second amendment rights.
(Psa 35:2) Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.
(Psa 35:3) Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.
(Psa 35:4) Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.
(Psa 35:5) Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.
(Psa 35:6) Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them.
(Psa 35:7) For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul.
(Psa 35:8) Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.
(Psa 35:9) And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation.
(Psa 35:10) All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?
(Psa 35:11) False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.
(Psa 35:12) They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul.
